Abstract

This paper provides an annotated summary of the current literature detailing what is known about the interaction of antiestrogen-liganded estrogen receptor (ER) vs estradiol-liganded ER with DNA in vitro and in vivo. It describes the current models of the mechanism by which antiestrogen-liganded ER blocks transcription of certain estrogen-regulated genes.
