Whole-genome sequences of Okibacterium fritillariae MBRM-U4 and Bacillus subtilis MBRM-U5, isolated as recurring laboratory contaminants in high-salt media.

Here, we report the whole-genome sequences of Okibacterium fritillariae MBRM-U4 and Bacillus subtilis MBRM-U5, gram-positive bacteria isolated as recurring contaminants in marine medium. Genomes were sequenced using Oxford Nanopore Technology, generating a 3.2 Mbp genome for O. fritillariae MBRM-U4 and a 4.4 Mbp genome for B. subtilis MBRM-U5.
